Shaloch Manos for Israeli Soldiers: Thank you to all that made donations and/or wrote notes to provide Mishloach Manot treats to our special soldiers this year. More than1,000 packages were delivered, and Purim greetings were included from the Baltimore community.
Especially during these difficult times, the Shomrei and BJSZ families show the soldiers how much we care and support all they are during.

Purim 5786 – Thank you from an Israeli Soldier!
To the honored donors,
We would like to express our deep appreciation for the impressive and moving Mishloach Manot we received from you before Purim.
Your gesture from across the ocean is not taken for granted. Knowing that someone is thinking of us, the security forces, and that someone takes the trouble to strengthen and encourage us even from afar, warms our hearts and gives us the strength to continue our activities and our mission on your behalf.
Your continued acts of giving, year after year, express a genuine mutual connection and achdus between the Jews of the Diaspora and the Jews of Eretz Yisrael; in particular, it expresses your connection with the fighters who are protecting our people.
May Hashem grant you an abundance of bracha, simcha and yeshuot, and may you always be among those who give and bring joy to others.
With bracha and great respect,
Help us support critical causes.
With the guidance and leadership of Rabbi Marwick and Shomrei’s executive board, the Shomrei Israel Committee is launching a shul-wide fundraising campaign to collectively support Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael, and Medinat Yisrael at this critical time. Undoubtedly, we all want to do anything possible to aid our family and friends in Israel, and our collective effort should IY’H be a zechut for a speedy and comprehensive salvation from the heart-wrenching news that we read and see every day.
While there are so many worthy organizations, our campaign will initially direct its assistance to the following causes, prioritizing our support of the IDF and individuals and families most directly affected:

La’Ofek (under the guidance of HaRav Yosef Zvi Rimon) is dedicated to ensuring that at-risk individuals or those who find themselves at a low point in their lives, can achieve personal and financial independence.

ONE FAMILY FUND
OneFamily helps victims of terror and war receive all of their governmental benefits while also providing a wide variety of holistic therapeutic programs and services to ensure long-term rehabilitation.

WORLD MIZRACHI/SULAMOT
A partnership between World Mizrachi and Rav Yosef Zvi Rimon to meet critical needs of victims, families, and soldiers.

FRIENDS OF THE IDF
Emergency campaign to address the rapidly changing needs of the Israeli army.
Your contribution to this campaign will benefit each of these organizations. As needs evolve over time, we may add other beneficiaries in the future. For payments made via check or donor-advised fund, please specify that your donation is for the “Israel Emergency Campaign.”
